Adrian Spence and Ingrid Richards are graduates of University of Queensland Architecture and have practiced in their home town of Brisbane for over twenty years. Amassing senior experience across three major Brisbane practices, the pair established Richards and Spence in 2008.
Richards and Spence projects are broad in type, ranging from bespoke furniture commissions, houses and restaurants to larger scale retail, commercial, multiresidential and mixed-use developments, with a focus on urban infill retail projects.
Adrian brings his technical experience to the practice of Richards and Spence including knowledge of building typologies, engineering systems and market demands. Ingrid brings strategic thinking and urban choreography to the practice of architecture.
Over the last decade the team have co-authored a cohesive body of work, recognizable in form yet responding distinctly to brief and context.
