Andrea Quagliola completed his studies in architecture at La Sapienza University of Rome, worked at Nemesi Studio and taught at La Sapienza. In 2003 he moved to Australia, where he is currently an associate professor at the University of Western Australia. Andrea is based in Perth and directs MORQ in Australia.
The practice was established in 2001 by Matteo Monteduro, Emiliano Roia and Andrea Quagliola. MORQ is an internationally positioned yet locally engaged unique firm based in Italy and Australia. Its work, ranging from small-scale residential and retail spaces to large landscape and urban plans, is the recipient of numerous awards and has been widely published internationally. The founding partners are also committed academics and regular contributors to design lectures and exhibitions.
