First and Last is a speaker series that invites notable designers and architects to reflect on one of the earliest projects in their career and contrast it with a recent work.
Through candid presentations and conversations, the session explores how creative practices evolve over time, what remains constant, and how the design landscape has shifted. It’s a chance to share personal insights, career longevity, and the stories behind the work – from humble beginnings to current-day milestones.

Adriana Hanna, director of Adriana Hanna Office, will share insights into Westgarth House (completed during her time at Kennedy Nolan Architects), a modernist-inspired addition that is both playful and pragmatic. She will also present Fisher House, a recent project that sensitively and elegantly adapted a 1970s Melbourne home originally designed by Alistair Knox.
