Hospitals of the Future: Designing for Innovative Healthcare
Stig Vesterager Gothelf, graduated from Aarhus School of Architecture in 2000 and joined 3XN in 2007. He is one of the driving forces behind the studio’s competition department and his ability to run complex design projects has led to numerous competition wins such as the 25,000 m2 Duale Hochschule in Stuttgart, a 18,300 m2 building for the Mälardalen University Eskilstuna campus and a 68,000 m2 extension of the University Hospital, Rigshospitalet, in Copenhagen.
Stig was the lead designer in the competition for a new 58,000 m2 children’s hospital – a project that he is now developing as the partner in charge. Stig is an experienced architect with a strong skillset in site analysis, concept development, technical design, 3D modelling and visual communication. In the past few years Stig has developed an expertise in healthcare design from the University Hospital project as well as the new Children’s Hospital in Copenhagen.
