The Architecture Symposium: What’s next for practice?
Perspectives from a new generation of architects.
Simon Robinson is a founding director of Office, a charitable design and research practice based in Melbourne.Office’s work spans the intersections of built form, research, discourse, and education. As a registered charity, the studio is constitutionally bound to deliver projects that serve the public good.
Through their Retain, Repair, Reinvest initiative, Office has been working directly with public housing residents, undertaking refurbishment studies at the Ascot Vale, Barak Beacon, Flemington and Waterloo estates. The studio is also involved in the development of remote Aboriginal housing in the Northern Territory, working closely with Wilya Janta—an Aboriginal-led organisation focused on creating culturally appropriate and climate-responsive housing.
