A Forum about Architecture, Design and Urbanism from the Asia Pacific
Richard Naish is a graduate of Auckland University - School of Architecture. He worked in Auckland and London before founding RTA Studio in 1999 at the age of 30.
Under his design leadership the practice has created some of New Zealand’s recent most important buildings in fields of education, mixed-use urban precincts and housing. RTA Studio won the NZ Architectural Medal, amongst many other National Awards for projects across the country. The studio has also been awarded globally by World Architecture Festival Architectural Review and World Architecture News.
Beyond the practice, Richard has been an Adjunct Professor and has taught at various universities. He has been the NZIA national awards convenor and served on numerous other juries, including being a judge at the World Architecture Festival.
