Paulette Christophersen is a partner at the Danish architectural studio PLH Arkitekter. She brought an international perspective to the integration of interior design with architecture when she started at PLH in 1999. Since graduating in 1988 from RMIT University, Melbourne (School of Architecture and Design) Paulette has worked in Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, Russia and Denmark. Her early career was spent at Geyer and RPvHT, and she sees both practices as trailblazers in their own way, nurturing the design skills, drive and ambition that she has integrated into her Scandinavian practice. Paulette channels her experiences into the front-end stage of projects as project leader, client adviser and process facilitator, to discover the essence of each project and challenge which design concepts will have greatest positive impacts for future building users. At PLH, Paulette has been instrumental in setting the vision for many projects for clients such as Maersk, Google, DSV, Coca Cola, Sivantos, Nordea, Aller Media and The UN City Copenhagen. Paulette is a member of Danish Association of Architectural Firms, Design Denmark and Design Institute of Australia, and acknowledges the important role they play in developing the creative professions.
