Paul Hotston Logo

For over 20 years, Paul Hotston has led Phorm Architecture and Design, A design-based practice that seeks to create new architecture with local identities. Half of Phorm’s project work is located within the inner-city suburbs of Brisbane, with the complement scattered throughout regional Queensland’s diverse terrains and townships.

Paul crafts site-specific homes that seek to inherently belong to or celebrate place. A key focus is the nurturing and choreography of the potential relationships between occupants and associated landscape or cityscape.

Paul has received numerous awards, including the 2023 Australian Institute of Architects Gabriel Poole ‘House of the Year’ for Family Tree House. He is currently an industry partner at the University of Queensland’s School of Architecture.
