The firm has been the recipient of several prestigious national and international awards during its 16 years of practice. Its Studio Dwelling at Rajagiriya was the winner of the RIBA International Award for Excellence in 2018. More recently, the practice received the RIBA International Award for Excellence for Artist Retreat at Pittugala and the 5th Triennial Geoffrey Bawa Award for Excellence in Architecture for Frame Holiday Structure at Imaduwa. Palinda Kannangara Architects’ work has been featured in the recent issue of El Croquis 212 architecture monograph.
