The Architecture Symposium: Acts of Generosity
Expanding the boundaries of civic design. Curated by Amy Muir and Rachel Neeson.
Nicholas established Sibling Architecture along with co-directors Amelia Borg, Qianyi Lim and Timothy Moore in 2012. The practice is an award winning, multi-disciplinary design studio that produces innovative projects with a focus on socially engaged outcomes.
Sibling Architecture has carved a unique space in the architectural profession, focussing on projects within public, residential and educational contexts. Examples of recent projects include the heritage Stable House in NSW, the Darebin Intercultural Centre for the City of Darebin, the SECA Art Gallery for the Bega Vallery Shire Council, and several recently completed or under-construction school projects with the VSBA. The practice also collaborates with larger practices, as it did with Grimshaw for the Twelve Apostles masterplan.
Nicholas’s expertise as both a registered architect and a landscape architect sees the integration of landscape across the Sibling practice. Further to this, Nicholas also teaches design at the University of Melbourne.
