Eva-Marie Prineas Logo

Eva-Marie Prineas is the principal of Studio Prineas, a practice that has steadily been building a portfolio of architecture and interiors projects that embody quiet luxury over the past 20 years.

Eva-Marie’s background and passion for heritage conservation and environmentally low impact design forms the basis of the Studio Prineas philosophy of understanding and adapting places that are already special. Eva-Marie’s award-winning approach to design stems from an intuitive understanding of what to keep and what to cleverly adapt. She prides herself on her studio’s collaborative skills and personally invests in client relationships to ensure each project is a combined effort with a shared vision.

In 2024, Studio Prineas was awarded the Australian Institute of Architects’ biannual Best in Practice Prize, acknowledging Studio Prineas as an exemplar in practice, culture and architectural achievement.

Eva-Marie is actively involved in the industry. She was a co-founder of DARCH – the Australian Institute of Architects group for emerging architects, and has regularly contributed as guest critic at the University of Sydney, the University of New South Wales, and University of Technology Sydney architecture faculties. She is an examiner for the architects’ registration exam for the Architects Accreditation Council of Australia, and in 2007 and again in 2020, Eva-Marie was elected onto the New South Wales Chapter Council for the Australian Institute of Architects and has continued to contribute to numerous juries including the Australian Institute of Architects Awards.
