Thinking Ahead: Designing the Evolving Campus
Carroll Go-Sam is a senior lecturer and researcher at the School of Architecture, University of Queensland. She is a descendant of Dyirbal bama peoples of gumbilbara Country, from the upper Herbert and Tully bana (water) basins, North Queensland.
Carroll was one of the lead authors of the University of Queensland’s Campuses on Countries: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Design Framework, 2021. Carroll is engaged in research, consultation and design practice with a particular focus on Indigeneity in architecture – relating to place-keeping, identity and livelihood. She is interested in the transformative potential of architecture, specifically for Indigenous peoples’ futures, and exploring design ideas through collaboration.
