Bruce Wolfe, director and company chair of Conrad Gargett, is a highly respected architect and a recognized leader within the industry. Formerly Conrad Gargett’s managing director before handing over in 2017, Bruce’s leadership has been instrumental in upholding the practice’s design legacy and driving its growth from a Brisbane-based firm of twenty-seven to a practice of over 160 team members across Australia, with an ever-expanding portfolio of global and award-winning projects.
Bruce is renowned for his inspirational work on some of the most prominent, innovative projects in Queensland, as project director on the internationally awarded Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital and leading the masterplanning and reference design team for the Sunshine Coast University Hospital – two of Australian’s largest and most innovative hospital projects. Guided by his astute design sensibility, appetite for idea exploration and commitment to collaboration, Bruce facilitates shared vision through design. He places people and sustainability at the centre of all his work, and is inspired by his ability to make a difference to the way people live, now, and in the future.
Bruce is immediate past president of the Queensland Chapter of the Australian Institute of Architects, chair of Vision South Bank and adjunct professor in architecture at the University of Queensland.
