Ashley Halliday is the director of Ashley Halliday Architects. He founded the practice in 2011 after relinquishing a position as principal with Hassell, where he lead significant transport infrastructure and education projects across Australia and internationally.
With a passion for drawing, designing and building, Ashley’s approach to architecture has always been ‘hands-on’. A highly perceptive, creative, and practical person, Ashley applies great technical skill and creative insight to his architecture, valuing imagination, originality, craftsmanship, and authentic form composition as key tenants of his design approach. This mindset permeates the studio’s work where Ashley remains directly involved in and responsible for all projects supported by a talented team.
Ashley is highly regarded by his clients and peers for his creative capacity, drive, project management, and commitment to the advancement of architecture and design. Ashley is a board member of the Kadaltilla Parklands Management Authority and has served as a member of the ODASA (South Australian Government) Design Review Panel since 2014.
In addition to a passion for architecture and design, Ashley is a creative thinker and communicator with the experience and ability to anticipate, interpret and deliver on clients’ broader aspirations.
Today, Ashley is forging a fresh and energetic practice at the leading edge of design and project delivery across Australia.
