The Architecture Symposium: Ideas from the Fringe
A weekend of learning in the Tasmanian landscape. Curated by John Wardle and Peta Heffernan.
A Bigambul and Wakka Wakka man from lutruwita (Tasmania), AJ King is a facilitator, musician, artist, curator, and producer with over 20 years’ experience working in policy development, land management, project management and production.
AJ is a founder of Ochre-Rain, a business management company that supports a growing number of First Nations owned businesses – collectively working to improve systems, support opportunities and outcomes for First Nations people.
AJ has developed and participated in community projects in every capacity; from corporate consultations, education and public programs to producing large scale creative projects for festivals and art projects.
The visibility of Aboriginal culture, and the concept of reclaiming and reimagining place and space, is embedded throughout all of AJ’s work. Each experience informs an interest in creative practice, with each project becoming a connected part of a whole; a life lived in the pursuit of improving outcomes for his people.
